NASHIK: Municipal commissioner Manisha Khatri on Wednesday instructed the officials of the Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation Limited to immediately complete the pending projects under the Smart City mission. Her instructions came during the meeting with the Smart City corporation.
Official of NMSCDCL, during the meeting with Khatri, gave a presentation about the projects that were taken under the Smart City mission and also the projects completed and the ones under construction. NMSCDCL CEO Sumant More requested the NMC commissioner for handing over the completed Smart City projects to the Nashik municipal Corporation.
“We have already installed 1,300 CCTV cameras at 300 locations across the city, and they are being integrated with the command and control rooms,” said More.
“Moreover, the smart city corporation has undertaken the works for enhancing the capacity of the two of NMC’s water treatment plants (WTPs). The capacity of the Bara Bungalow WTP is being increased from the present 81 MLD to 110 MLD. The capacity of the Shivaji Nagar WTP is being increased from the present 71MLD to 100 MLD,” said NMSCDCL officials.
The Smart City corporation officials further said they are also in the process of installing over 7,000 supervisory control and data acquisition (Scada) water meters for commercial consumers in the city. The work is to be completed by March-end.
There was also a discussion on the Goda Park project, which was inaugurated around a year ago but is yet to be opened to the public. The Goda Park project will now be handed over to the NMC next week, said NMSCDCL officials.
