Mumbai: The sixth arm of Mumbai Coastal Road‘s Haji Ali interchange towards Worli was opened to traffic on Wednesday. The two remaining arms of the interchange are expected to open by Feb 2025 once the construction of parking spaces below is complete.
Meanwhile, the BMC plans to open the second phase of the Coastal Road, connecting it to the Worli Sea Face, by Jan 26, 2025, said officials. “The launch of the girders was completed for the bridge connecting the coastal road to the Worli sea link. Currently, work is underway on the placement of crash barriers, electric pole fixing, asphalting, etc. This work should also be completed shortly,” said an officer. Additionally, the BMC has entrusted Tata Power with the beautification and 15-year maintenance of the five-hectare road divider. — Richa Pinto
