About Law Centre II, University of Delhi
Established in 1971, Law Centre II is one of India’s leading legal institutions with a legacy of over five decades of academic excellence. Currently located at Umang Bhawan, Chhatra Marg, the Centre caters to nearly 3,000 students and is equipped with modern infrastructure and academic facilities.
The institution places a strong emphasis on ethical legal education, critical inquiry, and research-orientation, supported by a distinguished faculty and alumni network, The Centre boasts of distinguished alumni network that includes esteemed academicians, accomplished researchers, prominent advocates, members of the judiciary, and senior bureaucrats.
Model United Nations Conference 2.0
The second edition of the Law Centre II MUN aims to simulate international and national decision-making processes while equipping participants with essential skills in research, negotiation, articulation, and diplomacy. Rooted in the Faculty of Law’s academic ethos, the conference aspires to encourage meaningful dialogue on pressing issues affecting global peace, democratic institutions, and governance.
The conference theme, “Where Diplomacy Meets Purpose,” underscores its commitment to substantive deliberation and responsible leadership.
Committees and Agendas
The conference will feature the following committees:
- United Nations General Assembly — Disarmament and International Security Committee (UNGA-DISEC)
Agenda: Preventing the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction with special emphasis on the Iran Nuclear Deal. - All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)
Agenda: Discussion and deliberation on electoral reforms in India, with special emphasis on the independence of the Election Commission of India. - International Press
Responsible for journalistic coverage, analytical reporting, and photographic documentation of committee proceedings.
Eligibility
The conference is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all academic backgrounds. Prior MUN experience is not mandatory.

Fee
Registration details are as follows:
- University of Delhi students- Rs 1000 /-
- Non-DU students: Rs 1180 /- (inclusive of GST)
Awards
To recognize excellence in diplomacy, research, and reporting, the conference offers several awards, including Best Delegate, High Commendation, Best Journalist, Best Photographer, along with cash prizes. All participants will receive certificates of participation, with awards evaluated on performance, procedure, research quality, and contribution to committee deliberations.
Important dates
Registrations open on 15th January 2026 and close on 15th March 2026. The conference will be conducted on 28th — 29th March 2026 at Law Centre II, University of Delhi.
