The Times NIE Fundamental Quiz 2024, organised by The Times of India Student Edition, saw participation of over 950 students from 220 Mumbai schools at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium, Matunga.
Bombay Scottish School, Mahim (Jay Rino, Amogh Girkar and Ruhaan Rajadhyaksha) emerged as the champion, while Campion School, Mumbai (Rajvansh Bhatia, Maanya Shah and Maanya Sancheti) stood second, and New Horizon Scholars School, Thane (Aarush Randad, Adish Jain and Kaustubh Mitkari) came third.
The competition began with a 25-question elimination round, followed by finals featuring six teams competing in categories like Brainiacs, Audio Buzz, Math Magicians, Intellect Quest, and Face Your Fears. Gaston D’Souza, as the quizmaster, hosted the electrifying event.
Notable attendees included actor and life coach, Tannaz Irani, who conducted a parenting workshop.
The speakers emphasised on the quiz’s educational value, the importance of early exposure to competitive events, and the benefits of diverse academic activities in career planning.
