The infrastructural facilities of MNLU Nagpur have developed over the years and are capable of handling academic and housing activities in a planned and organized way.
The campus is spacious, with ample green spaces and a dedicated design, reflecting the growing relationship between the institution and students over the years. The campus has academic blocks, comprising Block A and Block B.
Block A has 18 classrooms, all large, well-ventilated, and equipped with amenities to handle lectures and classroom discussions efficiently and effectively. Block B has 20 classrooms and 3 studio rooms, all devoted to academic and activity-related purposes.
The blocks are aesthetically appealing and provide a concentration-oriented atmosphere for students and faculty, making them a haven for learning and intellectual pursuits.
Presently, the university has a central library and a separate reading room cum-library, meeting the academic requirements of students and faculty while providing a peaceful, noise-free atmosphere conducive to research, self-study, and examination preparation.
MNLU Nagpur is a fully residential campus with separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels consist of six floors, with approximately 20 to 22 rooms per floor, making them spacious and supportive of long-term residential needs.
They serve as a second home for the students. Amenities blocks are located close to the girls’ hostel, meeting students’ daily requirements. Nearby residential blocks for faculty are conveniently accessible to students, unlike some other universities in the country.
The campus also has Vice-Chancellor and Registrar bungalows, strategically marking the commencement of administration at MNLU Nagpur.
Recreational facilities include a cricket ground and a football ground, providing students with spaces for physical activity, positively impacting their emotional and psychological well-being. Behind the academic blocks lies a sprawling, serene lake, significantly contributing to the natural surroundings and offering a peaceful space for self-contemplation. Close to the lake is a canteen, serving as a meeting point for students after completing their studies and activities.
Overall, MNLU Nagpur combines academic, residential, and recreational facilities with a well-planned, aesthetically pleasing environment, providing a safe, supportive, and enriching experience for all associated with the campus.
How are the academic culture and faculty in your college?
The academic culture at Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, is structured, disciplined, and academically rigorous. The university currently has around 39 faculty members, and the quality of teaching is excellent. All faculty members are PhD holders with strong academic backgrounds and subject expertise.
They are approachable, supportive, and actively encourage critical thinking, classroom discussions, and practical understanding of law. Attendance is taken seriously, with a mandatory minimum requirement of 70%, which ensures regular student participation and academic discipline.
Class timings differ from batch to batch, but for my batch, classes typically run from 8:55 AM to 2:40 PM, allowing a balanced academic schedule along with time for self-study and extracurricular activities.
The academic environment promotes consistency, accountability, and intellectual growth, making it conducive for students aiming for both academic excellence and professional readiness.

The peer group is diverse, with students coming from varied academic and socio-economic backgrounds. While academic seriousness varies among students, there is a visible group of highly motivated peers who actively participate in moots, research, writing, and internships.
Peer learning plays an important role, especially for students willing to seek guidance and collaborate.

Tell us about the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
The college has a few student-led activities, such as moot courts, debates, seminars, and academic events organized by different committees. Participation mostly depends on students’ own initiative.
There are limited active clubs, but students who are interested in mooting, writing, and competitions can find opportunities with effort. Social life is moderate and more focused on academics.

The college does not have a strong formal placement system. Most students secure internships on their own through applications and personal efforts.
Students usually intern under advocates, law firms, NGOs, or judges. Career choices vary, with many students opting for litigation, judiciary preparation, higher studies, or independent practice.

How are the hostels in your college?
The hostels at Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, are comfortable and well-managed. The university follows a fully residential system. There are separate hostels for boys and girls; each hostel has six floors.
Each floor has around 20 to 22 rooms, ensuring adequate accommodation and proper allotment of rooms to students across different batches.
Cleaning is one of the positive aspects of hostel life. Separate cleaning staff are assigned to both rooms and washrooms, and cleaning is performed daily to maintain hygiene and a healthy living environment. Moreover, general maintenance ensures that students can focus on academics without worrying about basic living conditions.
When it comes to facilities, all the basic needs of students in everyday life can be said to be adequately met. The hostels have water tanks, providing a continuous water supply. There are washing machines for laundry. They also have Wi-Fi facilities for academic and personal use.
TV rooms provide a space for relaxation and social interaction among residents. Lifts in the multi-storied hostel buildings make it convenient, especially for those staying on the upper floors.
Overall, at MNLU Nagpur, the hostels offer a clean, functional, and supportive environment, essentially making them a second home for students in law school.

What are the best things you like about your college?
The feeling of growth and belonging that Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur provides is its finest feature. Observing the campus expand from a partially built area into a fully operational university has matched my own intellectual and personal development, making the experience extremely significant.
The people—friends, seniors, instructors, guards, and staff—who foster a positive and supportive environment are another thing I really cherish. Peers work together despite rivalry, seniors are friendly and supportive, and faculty members have a strong interest in the education and overall growth of their pupils.
Additionally, the campus culture is noteworthy. Students can unwind, connect, and express themselves outside of the classroom at events like Lawkritis, Sportacus, and Sanskrotsav, which offer unparalleled vitality. The enthusiastic engagement of faculty members in these events creates a welcoming and healthy atmosphere.
Elections and the committee system are also highlighted. Despite their intensity, they impart resilience, leadership, and accountability, lessons that are crucial for the legal profession.
The university guarantees comprehensive growth by emphasizing practical exposure through internships, interactions with eminent judges, and value-based teaching. MNLU Nagpur is a place that molds character, self-assurance, and purpose, in addition to being an institution.
In your opinion, what are bad things about your college?
Although the academic and campus experiences at Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur are excellent, there are several things that may be improved. The Buttibori campus’s distant location restricts regular access to courts, legal networking, and city-based opportunities.
Because the placement system is still in its infancy and lacks significant institutional ties, placements and internships are primarily based on individual initiative. Furthermore, the competitive atmosphere can occasionally become stressful, particularly during committee elections and internships.
Due to the university’s relative youth, several administrative systems are still developing, which can occasionally result in delays.
