About the Job
Sarvaank Associates is hiring a full-time, on-site Associate role based in New Delhi, with a focus on start-ups, private equity, and venture capital.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognised law school; LL.M. or specialisation in corporate/commercial law is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of experience in corporate law, private equity/VC transactions, or M&A; the designation shall depend on relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and general corporate-commercial laws.
- Prior experience in drafting and negotiating investment documents (SHA, SSA, SPA, term sheets, commercial agreements, etc.).
- Experience assisting with due diligence, transaction structuring, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Familiarity with start-up ecosystem, cap tables, ESOPs, and fund investments is preferred.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare clear, well-structured legal opinions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle client interactions independently.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

Responsibilities
The role involves drafting and reviewing investment documents, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and other transaction-related documentation. It requires conducting in-depth legal research on corporate, regulatory, and data privacy frameworks, and providing advisory support on private equity/VC investments, fund-related matters, and M&A transactions.
The position also includes assisting in due diligence, transaction structuring, and regulatory compliance for high-growth companies and investors. You will engage directly with founders, funds, and family offices, manage client communications, and deliver tailored, strategic legal solutions that support clients across their business lifecycle.
