Tell us about the infrastructure of your law college
The overall infrastructure of our law college is strong and largely conducive to academic and extracurricular development. Classrooms are very well-designed, spacious, and equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors and audio systems, which support interactive learning and presentations.
Our library is a major asset of our college. It is well-stocked with standard textbooks, reference materials, journals, and reports relevant to law courses, along with access to online legal databases.
The seating and study environment are comfortable, making it suitable for both focused individual study and research work.
The sports facilities of our college are especially commendable, with adequate grounds and infrastructure that encourage physical fitness and participation in athletic events. This delicate balance between academics and sports is a positive aspect of my campus life.
Hostel facilities are generally satisfactory in nature. Rooms are livable and secure, with basic amenities provided. While maintenance and food quality can vary at times, the overall hostel experience at our college is very decent and manageable for long-term residence.
In summary, the infrastructure supports a holistic law school experience. While there is room for incremental improvements, particularly in hostel upkeep, the facilities, taken as a whole, justify a 4 out of 5 rating.

How are the academic culture and faculty in your college?
The academic culture of our college is fairly rigorous and structured, which helps students develop discipline and consistency over the five-year course. Our faculty strength is adequate to cater to the student intake, with professors assigned across core and elective subjects, ensuring continuity in teaching and evaluation.
In terms of quality, our faculty is a mix of experienced academicians and younger, research-oriented teachers. Several professors are conceptually strong, approachable, and supportive of academic discussions beyond the syllabus, especially for mooting, research papers, and competitions.
That said, teaching styles do vary, and our learning experience often depends on the subject and our individual faculty members. Attendance norms are relatively strict and are enforced seriously, which pushes students to remain regular and engaged in classroom learning.
While this can feel restrictive at times, it does instill academic discipline, particularly in our initial years.
Class timings are well structured and generally follow a predictable schedule, allowing students to plan internships, self-study, and extracurricular activities alongside academics.
Overall, our academic environment promotes seriousness toward legal education while still leaving room for independent learning and growth. With some scope for pedagogical consistency across faculty members, our academic culture and faculty together merit a 4 out of 5 rating.

The peer quality in our college is generally strong and diverse, which significantly enriches the overall law school experience. Students come from varied academic, social, and regional backgrounds, bringing different perspectives into classroom discussions, group work, and debates.
There is a healthy mix of highly motivated, competitive students and others who are more inclined toward a balanced academic and extracurricular life.
Many peers are actively involved in mooting, research, debates, ADR competitions, sports, and cultural activities, which creates an environment of healthy competition and mutual learning.
Peer-to-peer learning is a major positive. Seniors are often approachable and willing to guide juniors on academics, internships, and competitions.
This informal mentoring culture helps students navigate law school more effectively. That said, like any institution, the level of seriousness varies among individuals, so one’s growth largely depends on the circle one chooses.
Overall, our peer group provides sufficient intellectual stimulation, exposure, and support.

Tell us about the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
Our college offers a very vibrant and well-rounded co-curricular and extra-curricular ecosystem that plays a major role in shaping student life beyond classrooms. There are multiple student-run clubs, societies, and committees focusing on mooting, debating, ADR, legal aid, research and publication, IPR, environmental law, sports, and cultural activities.
These platforms give students early exposure to practical lawyering skills, teamwork, and leadership. Moot courts, debates, and research-based activities are taken seriously, with regular intra-college competitions and strong encouragement to participate in national and international events.
Committees are very proactive throughout the academic year, ensuring continuous engagement rather than activities being limited to fest seasons.
Our college fests, both cultural and academic, are well organized and energetic, contributing significantly to campus vibrancy and inter-college interaction. Sports and cultural events are also given due importance, which helps maintain a healthy balance between academics and recreation.
Social life on campus is lively but manageable. Students get ample opportunities to network, collaborate, and build long-term friendships while still being able to focus on academics if they choose to. The only limitation is that participation often depends on individual initiative; those who actively seek opportunities benefit the most.
Overall, the strong institutional support and student enthusiasm make co-curricular and extra-curricular life a major strength of the college.

How are the placements in your college?
Placements in our college are moderate and largely depend on a student’s individual initiative, academic performance, and involvement in co-curricular activities.
Our formal placement structure is evolving, with a dedicated placement or career development cell that facilitates internships and final placements, though it is not yet comparable to top-tier NLUs.
Internship opportunities are reasonably accessible. Many students secure internships with district courts, High Courts, law firms, NGOs, corporate legal departments, and under individual advocates, particularly during semester breaks.
Students who are very proactive in applying, networking, and building CVs through moots, research, and publications tend to secure better and more consistent internship experiences.
In terms of final placements, a limited number of students receive campus placements, primarily in mid-tier law firms, litigation chambers, compliance roles, legal process outsourcing (LPOs), and corporate support roles.
A significant portion of students opt for litigation, higher studies (LL.M.), judicial services preparation, UPSC, or corporate internships leading to off-campus placements.
Overall, our college provides a foundational platform and exposure, but outcomes vary widely based on self-driven effort. With increasing alumni presence and institutional focus on career support, placements show scope for improvement.

How are the hostels in your college?
The hostel facilities in our college are generally very adequate and serve the basic residential needs of students over the five-year course. Hostel accommodation is available to a substantial number of students, though vacancies can become limited during peak admission periods, making early application important.
In terms of cleanliness, our standards are average and largely depend on regular maintenance schedules.
Common areas and washrooms are cleaned routinely, but consistency can vary, and there is scope for improvement in upkeep and hygiene in certain blocks. Basic facilities such as beds, cupboards, electricity, water supply, and Wi-Fi are provided.
Security arrangements are satisfactory, with wardens and restricted entry systems ensuring student safety. Nevertheless, issues such as occasional maintenance delays, internet speed fluctuations, and food quality in messes are common concerns among residents.
Overall, our hostels are very functional and manageable for long-term stay but do not offer premium living standards. With better maintenance and upgraded amenities, our experience could be significantly improved.

What are the best things you like about your college?
One of the strongest aspects of our college is the balanced ecosystem it offers. It does not confine students only to academics; instead, it provides equal space for co-curriculars, sports, cultural activities, and personal growth. This balance helps students develop holistically rather than becoming exam-centric.
Our student-driven culture is another major positive. Clubs, societies, and committees are largely run by students, which builds leadership skills, accountability, and practical skills that are essential for the legal profession. Seniors are generally very supportive in nature, creating a healthy mentoring environment for juniors.
Our diversity of opportunities stands out. Whether a student is inclined towards litigation, corporate law, research, policy, judiciary preparation, sports, or cultural pursuits, the college offers platforms to explore and refine those interests.
The approachability of many of our faculty members is also a plus point. Several professors are open to academic discussions, research guidance, and mentoring beyond the classroom, which adds real value to our learning experience. Lastly, our campus life and peer network make our journey memorable.
Our friendships, collaborations, competitions, and shared struggles contribute significantly to personal growth and professional clarity, making law school a genuinely formative experience.
In your opinion, what are bad things about your college?
While our college offers a very well-rounded law school experience, there are certain shortcomings that students should be aware of before joining. One notable concern is our placement ecosystem, which is still developing.
Structured campus placements are limited, and a large part of career progression depends on individual effort, networking, and off-campus applications. Students who are looking for assured corporate placements need to be highly proactive from an early age.
Another issue is inconsistency in academic delivery. While some faculty members are excellent and engaging, the quality of teaching is not uniform across subjects. This can sometimes make learning heavily self-driven rather than classroom-oriented. Hostel and mess facilities also leave room for improvement.
Cleanliness, maintenance, and food quality can be inconsistent, and the administrative response to complaints is occasionally slow. There are also administrative inefficiencies at times, such as delays in communication, approvals, or grievance redressal, which can be frustrating for students.
Lastly, opportunities often favor those who proactively seek them out. Students who are not self-motivated may find it challenging, as the system expects a high level of individual initiative rather than hand-holding.
These drawbacks are manageable but important to consider, especially for students expecting a highly structured or placement-driven law school environment.
