The reception was given to the flag procession as part of the state conference held in Thrissur on December 14, 15, 16 and 17.
A reception was arranged for the northern region procession held at the Malappuram Collectorate premises on Friday afternoon.
After the reception at Malappuram, the procession proceeded to Perinthalmanna and then entered Palakkad district.
