Kareena Kapoor Khan says it was her dream to sit next to PM Narendra Modi: 'He's truly a global star'

Kareena Kapoor Khan along with Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor visited PM Narendra Modi to invite him to commemorate Raj Kapoor‘s 100th anniversary celebrations. The festival is set to kick-start from December 13 onwards and 10 films of the ‘Showman’ will be screened across all the cities in different theatres. Meanwhile, as the Kapoors met the PM, Kareena said in a video that it was her dream to sit next to him.

She said, “Mera toh hamesha dream raha hai ki main unke saath, humare Pradhan Mantri Modiji ke saath unke bagal main baith ke kuch shabd boloon. Yeh toh hamesha mere mann main tha ki ek baar aisa hona hai life main. I’m so happy ki mere dadaji ke 100th birthday par yeh mauka mila mujhe. Unke saath ek kamre main baith ke, humare poore family ke saath… Unke aas paas baithna… I think unki jo energy hai, ek peaceful sa positive energy raha hai and he truly is a global leader.”

Kareena also shared photos from their meeting with PM Modi as she took his autograph for her children Taimur and Jeh. She wrote in her caption, “Thank you Shri Modi ji for such a special afternoon. Your warmth, attention, and support in celebrating this milestone meant the world to us. As we celebrate 100 glorious years of Dadaji’s artistry, vision, and contribution to Indian cinema, we honour the timeless impact of his legacy, which continues to inspire us and generations to come.”

The Raj Kapoor Film Festival will kickstart from Friday, December 13 and go on till December 15. Many of his movies like Aag, Barsaat, Awaara, Shree 420, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby among many others will be showcased.
