About the Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth within our Legal Mergers & Acquisitions Corporate Practice.

This role involves identifying and developing new client relationships, sourcing mandates for legal advisory on buy-side and sell-side transactions, private equity investments, joint ventures, and other corporate finance matters.

The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of financial transactions with a deep appreciation for legal services in the M&A ecosystem.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Client Acquisition
    • Identify and capture new advisory opportunities across M&A, capital markets, and corporate restructuring.
    • Build strategic networks with corporates, investors, financial institutions, and investment bankers.
    • Execute outreach strategies and collaborate with partners to deliver high-impact pitch decks and proposals.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Serve as a primary liaison to ensure consistent engagement and long-term client satisfaction.
    • Align client business goals with the firm’s legal services to drive organic growth.
    • Manage institutional accounts and support partners in high-level relationship mapping.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategy
    • Analyze deal trends and competitor activity to pinpoint emerging sectors and partnership leads.
    • Monitor regulatory shifts to inform the firm’s strategic positioning
  • Assist in developing marketing collateral, thought leadership, and client communication campaigns to strengthen brand positioning.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, or Law; MBA or Postgraduate in Finance preferred.
  • 3-5 years in BD or Client Management within Law Firms, Investment Banking, or Corporate Advisory.
  • Solid grasp of M&A transactions, deal structuring, and corporate finance.
  • High-level communication, networking, and professional presentation abilities.
  • Proven success in generating mandates, building partnerships, and managing senior stakeholders.
