Jio Launches JioMotive Device to Make Any Car Smarter
Reliance Jio, one of India’s biggest telecommunications companies, led by the country’s wealthiest business magnate, Mukesh Ambani, has recently introduced a new innovative product called JioMotive. This small OBD (outbound dialer) device can instantly transform any car into a smart car within minutes. This device, priced at Rs.4999, is now available at a discounted rate, offering a 58% savings on its original MRP of Rs.11,999.
With JioMotive, car owners can enjoy a range of features, such as real-time tracking of the vehicle’s location, geofencing that will enable boundaries to restrict overuse of the vehicle, vehicle diagnostics, vehicle healthcare, driving behavior analysis, and other safety features. This innovative device has the potential to revolutionize the Indian automotive industry by making smart car technology more accessible and affordable to the masses.
How to set up the JioMotive device on your vehicle:
To use JioMotive, you will need to follow a few simple steps. First, you must download and install the JioThings app on your smartphone. Once you have done this, log in using your Jio number and add the JioMotive device to your existing devices.
Next, enter your car details and attach the JioMotive to your OBD port. Once you have done this, turn on your car and ensure a good Jio connection.
After this, you must agree to the terms and conditions and enable the JioEverywhereConnect Number Sharing Plan. Finally, connect to ‘JioJCR1440’ and wait for a confirmatory message on the screen. Once you have received the message, you can use JioMotive.
“Most smartphone models these days come with internet connectivity, allowing users to access insights into their car’s internals, including location, engine health and even driving performance. But what if you drive an older or a base model new vehicle? Thanks to JioMotive, you can now have these smart features in your car without any critical re-wiring,” said a Reliance Digital spokesperson.

Once installed, it seamlessly connects to the Jio network using an e-sim, and there’s no need for a separate data plan. This device allows you to enjoy uninterrupted network connectivity and access various helpful features.
