About the position
National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has released an advertisement for the engagement of an IPR Chair under the SPRIHA (Scheme for Pedagogy and Research in IPRs for Holistic Education and Academia) of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Applications are invited for the post of IPR Chair for 5 years. No person may continue as an IPR Chair for more than 5 years from the date of their appointment. Any individual above the age of 70 years shall not be eligible for the appointment as IPR Chair.
Responsibilities
The IPR Chair shall:
- Facilitate the development, growth and encourage IPR study, education and research;
- Create IPR knowledge database by compiling global best practices on IP matters;
- Conduct IPR internship programs under the IPR Chair;
- Develop, formulate and collate inputs/recommendations provided by industry practitioners and academia on IPR issues;
- Foster research in IPR and related matters and highlight the SPRIHA policy relevance in academia;
- Co-operation between IPR Chairs to facilitate joint research, shared lecturing arrangements and student/academic exchanges;
- Dissemination of research and promoting discussion on IPR and facilitate increase in domestic IPR filings;
- Set up a repository for IPR related information;
- Prepare repertoire of resources/toolkit/guidance/instruction materials for various levels of IPR courses for hybrid mode of teaching in education services;
- Conduct IPR studies commissioned by DIPP and Identify the communication gaps in academia and industries for technology sharing/ mutual research, etc.

Last date for receipt of applications: 30th March 2026.
