About the UN Innovation & Analytics Hub
The Innovation & Analytics Hub is the United Nations’ first dedicated centre for innovation and analytics in human rights. It plays a critical role in advancing the UN Secretary-General’s “Quintet of Change,” which focuses on:
- Data
- Digital transformation
- Innovation
- Foresight
- Behavioral science
The Hub works to strengthen global human rights systems by leveraging data-driven insights, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies to detect risks, support early warning systems, and inform evidence-based decision-making.
Internship Details
The programme offers 3 to 6-month internships with flexible start dates. Interns may work:
- In Geneva (in-person), or
- Remotely, depending on the role and circumstances
Interns are fully integrated into teams and contribute to real-world projects with lasting global impact.
Internship Responsibilities
Across all workstreams, interns may:
- Conduct research and data analysis
- Develop reports, presentations, and analytical outputs
- Support digital innovation projects
- Monitor global trends and risks
- Collaborate with international teams
- Contribute to policy-relevant insights and tools
This hands-on approach ensures interns gain practical experience in global human rights operations.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must meet one of the following:
- Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate degree (Master’s, PhD, or equivalent), or
- Be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree programme.
Relevant fields of study include:
- Political Science
- International Relations
- Law
- Data Science or Statistics
- Computer Science or IT
- Economics or Development Studies
Indian Applicants are eligible to apply.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of another UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian) is an advantage

This is an unpaid internship, and candidates should note:
- Interns must cover travel, accommodation, visa, and living expenses
