The Oxford Dharma Centre for Research and Policy (Oxford Dharma Centre) is an independent institute dedicated to advancing public policy, research, jurisprudence, leadership, and institutional practice through the lens of Dharma.
Curated and operated by scholars and professors of the University of Oxford, the Centre places the enduring values of sustainability, universality, and pluralism at the heart of its work.
About the Programme
Oxford Dharma Centre for Research and Policy invites applications for Research Assistantship (RA) and Internship positions.
The Programme on Environmental Governance and Sustainable Development is a research initiative engaged in the development of a framework for sustainability, grounded in ethical, philosophical, and ecological principles articulated within the worldview of Dharma.
This Programme seeks to advance rigorous research that complements and critically engages contemporary global sustainability paradigms, including the SDGs, ESG frameworks, and prevailing models of development.
Core Research Directions
- Dharmic Approaches to ESG: Development of Dharma-based ethical and conceptual frameworks for ESG thinking, with relevance to corporate governance, finance, institutional responsibility, and long-term value creation.
- Dharmic Development Paradigms: Articulation of a Dharmic development paradigm as a complementary framework to the United Nations SDGs, emphasising ethics, context, and sustainability beyond metrics, targets, and compliance.

Remote or hybrid, depending on location and project requirements.
Duration
One Oxford Academic Term.
Perks
Participants who successfully complete programme requirements will receive a certificate and may be considered for research contributions, publications, and continued engagement with the Programme.
These positions are currently offered on an unpaid basis.
