About Pro Bono Club, MNLU Mumbai
The Pro Bono Club established by the Department of Justice, Government of India, at MNLU Mumbai is committed to promoting legal awareness, social justice, and community engagement. The main objectives of the club are:
- Enroll the students of the University in the Nyaya Bandhu (Pro-Bono Legal Services Club) Programme to assist private and public bodies and persons like Government Departments and lawyers to carry out pro-bono work.
- To facilitate undertakings and projects to give the students an opportunity to volunteer and work in favour of underprivileged communities. This is done with the aim of actually helping those in need and also allowing the students to explore the intricacies of social work and establish themselves as contributing professionals of society.
- The Pro-Bono Club will be working on the ‘Assisted Model’, where it will be collaborating with governmental and private organizations, which in turn would improve the efficiency and efficacy of the Club in all its undertakings.
About Internship Opportunity
The Pro Bono Club is looking to engage full-time interns on a rolling basis to assist with its activities at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai.
Duration
The applicants are required to mention the duration of their availability at the time of applying. The minimum duration is four weeks. Preference shall be given to applicants who are available for longer durations.
