First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
On the first day, we were given a formal introduction to the company, its teams, duties, and work expected from the interns, along with other general queries regarding the internship.
We were introduced to all the partners and associates and then directed to our desks. We were made to fill up a form asking for our personal information, as well as an internship worksheet, which needs to be filled up every day as proof of work at the end of the internship.
There are separate desks for the interns in one corner of the office. We were instructed not to bring our own devices such as laptops. Every intern has to present on their topic of choice at the end.
Internship timings are from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, except the second and fourth Saturdays.
Main Tasks
Finding judgments and case laws, assisting in research work on various companies, drafting legal documents, preparing case briefs and research notes, and assisting associates in other tasks.
Work Environment
The work environment is formal, but not too stressful. We interns were not allocated to a particular team, and hence, we were allotted work by associates from all three teams. The associates are helpful and explain each task properly before assigning the work.
Good Things about the Internship
There were three other co-interns, which made this internship experience more exciting. I was exposed to various tasks touching upon different areas of law and made good connections with students from different law schools.
Every day, we were allotted different kinds of tasks and were not restricted to one area of law, which made the internship experience more enriching.
Bad Things about the Internship
I had no bad experiences during the internship.
Monthly Stipend
No Stipend.
Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
There are PGs nearby, as the location is filled with other offices as well as schools. I used Uber to commute from my home to the office.
