First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
On my first day at Ahluwalia Law Associates, I was formally introduced to the team through an online briefing. The seniors clearly explained the firm’s practice areas, expectations from interns, and the workflow.
I was assigned initial research-based tasks, which helped me understand the firm’s drafting standards and professional approach from the very beginning.
Main Tasks
During my internship at Ahluwalia Law Associates, my primary responsibilities included conducting in-depth research on intellectual property laws, particularly trademarks and copyrights. I assisted in analyzing legal provisions, recent case laws, and practical applications relevant to client matters.
I was also involved in drafting and designing informative legal posters for awareness and professional outreach. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience in drafting legal notices, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable laws.
These tasks strengthened my research, drafting, and analytical skills while giving me practical exposure to both the advisory and procedural aspects of legal practice.
Work Environment
The work environment at Ahluwalia Law Associates was professional, supportive, and well-structured, despite being remote. Seniors were approachable and provided timely feedback, creating a healthy learning atmosphere. Clear communication, realistic deadlines, and a collaborative approach ensured efficiency and accountability.
The firm encouraged independent thinking while also offering guidance when required, making the environment both disciplined and conducive to professional growth.
Good Things about the Internship
The remote internship was a highly enriching experience, as it offered flexibility while maintaining professional discipline. It allowed me to efficiently manage my academic commitments alongside practical legal training.
The structured workflow, clear instructions, and regular feedback ensured continuous learning. Exposure to real-time legal research, drafting, and client-related work enhanced my practical understanding of the law.
Additionally, working remotely improved my time management, self-discipline, and digital communication skills, which are essential for modern legal practice.
Bad Things about the Internship
One of the drawbacks of the remote internship was the limited scope for in-person interaction and courtroom exposure. The absence of face-to-face discussions sometimes made it challenging to observe the practical nuances of advocacy and office dynamics.
Occasional communication delays could also occur due to virtual coordination. Additionally, building personal professional connections was comparatively difficult in a remote setup, as informal learning through daily office interactions was limited.
Monthly Stipend

Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
As the internship was conducted remotely, no accommodation was required. I worked from my residence, ensuring a stable internet connection and a suitable environment for the timely completion of tasks.
