How did you apply?
I have written an email with a cover letter and an attached curriculum vitae to the office mail ID. I also met him in person to convey my eagerness to intern under him.
First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
On my first day, I was welcomed by the Senior Advocate and given a brief orientation session about the necessary paperwork, including confidentiality. The office was spacious, with workstations, a library, and conference rooms.
My first impression was positive, with a professional yet welcoming office environment, approachable staff, an emphasis on teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning and development through regular training sessions and workshops for interns and employees.
Main Tasks
Legal Research: Investigated a wide range of legal issues, such as family law, the Child Marriage Act, and contract law. Drafted a thorough document outlining conclusions and offering suggestions for situations that are still pending.
Drafting Papers: Helped prepare pleadings, motions, and contracts, among other legal documents. Verified that every document conformed with the law and was accurate.
Interaction with Clients: Took part in client meetings, taking thorough notes and helping to draft legal strategy. Cultivated excellent communication skills through engaging with clients and understanding their legal requirements.
Court Attendance: Observed and took notes during court hearings and depositions. Obtained useful knowledge about the litigation process and courtroom protocols.
Case Management: Assisted with document organization, case file management, and proper record-keeping. Developed a keen eye for detail and strong organizational abilities.
Work Environment
Positive Work Environment: The internship had a supportive and collaborative work culture.
Good Things about the Internship
Mentoring: The advice and assistance from seasoned lawyers were quite helpful. In addition to providing valuable feedback, my mentor guided me through challenging legal situations.
Networking: By connecting with professionals from various legal backgrounds, I was able to broaden my horizons and explore new career opportunities.
Bad Things about the Internship
There was nothing particularly bad in the office. Although there were some challenging phases regarding timelines and client meetings, everything went well throughout my internship.

My internship was an invaluable learning experience that gave me real-world knowledge about the legal industry. My desire to pursue a career in law has been solidified as a result of the practical experience I gained in legal research, document preparation, and client engagement.
