About PCGT
Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT) was founded in 2002 with the vision of fostering integrity and accountability in governance. The trust focuses on empowering youth with ethical values and leadership skills, motivating them to become responsible citizens contributing to good governance.
PCGT was founded by Mr. Julio Ribeiro, Dr. R. K. Anand, and Late Mr. B. G. Deshmukh to encourage public participation and activism for transparent and efficient governance.
About the College
Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law was established in the academic year 2012-13. It was then named the People’s Education Society’s Law College. Following the demise of Adv. Balasaheb Apte, the visionary and founding member of our law college, the college was renamed as Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law, as a tribute to his memory.
The institute fosters practical legal training through its Student Moot Court Society and maintains a placement cell that collaborates with reputed law firms. It hosts moots, debates, seminars, cultural events, and sports competitions, and publishes Law Spective, a student newsletter encouraging academic discourse. With strong infrastructure, dedicated faculty, and a dynamic learning environment, the college aims to develop capable and responsible legal professionals.
About the Event
International Seminar on RTI & DPDP Act 2026 Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT), in collaboration with Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law (ABACL), is organizing an International Seminar on Right to Information (RTI) & the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act
This seminar aims to promote transparency, accountability, and youth participation in governance. It will serve as an engaging platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students across the country.
