Speaker’s bio:

 Dr. Salvatore Tolone Azzariti

Distinguished Professor of Private Law | Oxford University & Woxen University | International Legal Scholar

Dr. Salvatore Tolone Azzariti is a Distinguished Professor of Private Law with a global academic footprint spanning some of the world’s most prestigious universities. He holds an MJur and DPhil in Law from the University of Oxford and a law degree from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.

Dr. Tolone Azzariti teaches at the University of Oxford (Faculty of Law), Woxsen University (Hyderabad, India), the University of Naples Federico II, and the University of Buenos Aires, among others. He has been a Visiting Fellow at All Souls College and Magdalen College, University of Oxford.

His main areas of specialisation include property rights, law of contracts, torts, liability, human rights, international private law, and the law of globalisation. Since 2022, he has been a member of Estudio Durrieu, focussed on international law, transnational penal law, asset recovery, and cross-border litigation across New York, Buenos Aires, Rome, Paris, Madrid, and other major legal centres.

As a prolific legal scholar and author, Dr. Tolone Azzariti has contributed extensively to academic literature on private law, property rights, and legal theory. His notable publication Die Revocabilität des subjektiven Rechts und das Eigentum auf Zeit examines the revocability of subjective rights and the concept of temporary property. He is widely cited in international legal research and has presented at symposiums and conferences across Europe, South Asia, and the Americas.

A Fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford, Dr. Tolone Azzariti brings a uniquely comparative and global perspective to the intersection of AI and private law, making him one of the foremost voices on the legal challenges posed by artificial intelligence in contractual and agency relationships. A holder of degrees from Oxford University (MJur, DPhil in Law) and Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Dr. Tolone Azzariti is also a member of the International Legal Office with a presence spanning Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. His interdisciplinary expertise makes him ideally placed to address the legal challenges of artificial intelligence in agency and private law.

Dr. Tolone Azzariti’s scholarship is grounded in a rigorous comparative methodology that bridges civil and common law traditions. His guiding intellectual conviction:
