Halasur Tr Ps vs Lokesh on 11 February, 2026


The PI of Halasuru Traffic PS have registered Cr No.
53/2016, against accused nos. 1 & 2 for the alleged offence
punishable under Section 279, 337, 338, 304(A) IPC & 56 r/w
191, 5 r/w 180, 3(1) r/w 181, 146 r/w 196 & 39 r/w 192(1) IMV
Act.

2. The brief facts of the prosecution’s case are as
follows:

On 12.05.2016, between about 4:30 and 4:45 am, the
accused no.1 was driving an unregistered TATA Ace Tempo (LGV)
vehicle. He drove his vehicle on Old Airport Road from
Dommaluru towards KR Market in a rash and negligent manner
and crashed into a stone wall in front of ASC College. The
passengers in the vehicle, Sri Mohan and Sri Sridhar, sustained
grievous injuries and succumbed to the occurrence. CW.7 and
CW. 8 also sustained grievous injuries. At the time of the
accident, accused no.1 did not possess a driving license, and the
vehicle was uninsured, without a registration FC certificate. The
owner of the vehicle, accused no.2, had permitted accused no.1
to drive the vehicle without a license, registration, insurance, or
FC certificate. Hence, accused Nos. 1 and 2 committed offences
punishable under Section 279, 337, 338, 304(A) IPC & 56 r/w
191, 5 r/w 180, 3(1) r/w 181, 146 r/w 196, and 39 r/w 192(1) IMV
Act.
