Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) made changes to the Class 12 general stream examination timetable, extending it until March 17 from the earlier end date of March 13, considering the Holi and Dhuleti festival holidays. The board also addressed concerns about Statistics and Geography examinations being scheduled on the same day, deciding to conduct them separately. The examination period, which commences on Feb 27, will now continue until March 17.
The board initially released the examination schedule for Classes 10 and 12 on Oct 15, in alignment with the academic calendar. The govt’s declaration of the Dhuleti holiday on March 14, instead of the previously planned March 15, prompted the board to notify schools about this change, necessitating adjustments to the examination schedule.
The board responded to requests for separating the Geography and Statistics examinations, which were initially scheduled for the same day.
