MUMBAI: Gauri Khan, wife of actor Shah Rukh Khan, was given the go-ahead on Wednesday to add two more floors to their six-storey residential building in Bandra.

A presentation on the construction of the additional two floors was made before the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA), and a structural stability certificate was submitted for the existing building. Sources said there is no plan to increase the existing plinth or utilise any part of the existing open space for the construction.

“The two additional floors are for residential use and are to be built on the existing building. Hence, the stability certificate was submitted, based on which MCZMA approved the construction of the additional two floors,” said sources.

The two floors will be spread over 6,160 sq ft.
