Mumbai: Dadar police booked four persons including a woman for allegedly assaulting a female constable when a police team reached the spot and intervened in a family fight. The police received a call from the control room and went to the location where two families were fighting.
The incident took place on Friday. The city police control room received a call about the incident and informed the Dadar police. A police squad went to the scene and found some people engaged in a fight.
When the police intervened, the accuse allegedly hit constable Ashwini Deshmukh and pushed other police personnel. Additional police force was called to the spot, and four persons were taken to the police station. The police registered a case of assault and obstructing a public servant in discharging duty. Further investigation is ongoing.
