Negligence case registered against eatery owner

New Delhi: A day after a fire was reported from a multi-storey building in west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden, Delhi Police registered a case of negligence against the owner of a restaurant situated on the first floor. Police stated that, based on a preliminary investigation of the damage, they suspected that the fire originated from Jungle Jamboree restaurant. The owner will be summoned for questioning.
Police said that the fire probably started due to a short circuit, and a team would inspect the restaurant to ascertain the exact cause of the fire. The restaurant was, however, closed at the time of the incident.
No one sustained burn injuries in the incident. A faculty member at an animation institute, which was situated on the second floor of the building, sustained minor injury. tnn
