Mumbai: CM Devendra Fadnavis termed the change in his designation on Wednesday as a mere technicality. The first physical sign of the change he dubbed a technicality was at Mantralaya, where there was an exchange of offices. Fadnavis moved into the large and most-powerful CM’s office on the sixth floor of Mantralaya.
Eknath Shinde, who was sworn in as Dy CM, moved into the office occupied by Fadnavis as Dy CM on the same floor. The nameplates outside the two offices were changed once the swearing-in was completed. Fadnavis now holds a constitutional post, while Shinde holds a decorative post. In all this, Dy CM Ajit Pawar‘s designation and his office on the sixth floor remain unchanged.
