Exit Poll Results 2024 Live Updates: After high-octane campaigns and elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, now it’s time to find out what the exit polls have predicted for the states. Three exit polls – Matrize, Peoples Pulse, Chanakya Strategies and Times Now-JVC – have predicted a BJP-led alliance win for Maharashtra while three – Dainik Bhaskar, P-Marq and Lokshahi Marathi-Rudra – have predicted a hung house in Maharashtra. While Dainik Bhaskar, Times Now-JVC and P-Marq predicted a hung assembly in Jharkhand, two exit polls – Matrize and Peoples – gave an edge to the NDA alliance while Axis My predicted a clear win for INDIA bloc in Jharkhand.
The results for both states will be announced on November 23.

Voting for the single-phase Maharashtra elections across 288 assembly constituencies began at 7 am and concluded at 6 pm. The contest is between the ruling Mahayuti alliance – BJP, Shiv Sena and the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) – Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction).
In the 2019 elections, the BJP won the maximum number of seats (105) followed by Shiv Sena (56) and the Congress (44).
Jharkhand is voting in the second and final phase of the assembly elections. The first phase was held on November 13. The primary contest in the state is between the ruling JMM-led INDIA bloc and the BJP-headed National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Congress leader Praniti Shinde today said that she is supporting independent candidate Dharmaraj Kadadi in Maharashtra;s Solapur South – a seat contested by her party’s ally Shiv Sena (UBT).
“There are friendly fights in many constituencies (among Maha Vikas Aghadi allies) and this (Solapur South) is one of them,” she said and added “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (The one who wins is the king)”.
Exit Poll Results: Advantage NDA in Maharashtra, predicts P-Marq
P-Marq has predicted an advantage for the BJP-led ruling alliance in Maharashtra which has been projected to win between 137-157 seats against opposition MVA’s 126-146.
The Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has asked Mumbai police to conduct an inquiry into the alleged bitcoin scam.
“I am writing to you on behalf of the Shiv Sena Party, with regards to an audio tape that was leaked on various media platforms with regards to an illegal bitcoin deal (scam) allegedly executed by the MVA leadeers Supriya Sule MP Lok Sabha, Nana Patole, President of Maharashtra Congress and a person named Gaurav Mehta for generating ‘cash’ for the assembly election in Maharashtra,” said the party.
Peoples Pulse has claimed NDA will win between 42-27 seats in Jharkhand against INDIA bloc’s 25-30. The exit poll agency has also predicted that Maharashtra will remain with NDA (175-195) while MVA will bag between 85 to 112 seats.
Matrize has predicted NDA will Jharkhand with between 42-27 seats against INDIA’s 25-30. It has also predicted that NDA will be in power in Maharashtra after bagging between 150-170 seats while MVA will get around 110-130 seats.
As per available data, women voters outnumbered men in 37 of 43 seats in the first phase and the trend continued in the second phase as well.
Shiv Sena candidate Sanjay Nirupam has claimed that a worker of his party was attacked by supporters of Shiv Sena (UBT) during voting today, adding he had filed a case with the police.
“Hundreds of Muslim workers of Shiv Sena (UBT) were trying to influence voters and obstructing. They later attacked him (Shiv Sena worker) and also tried to intimidate electors,” Mr Nirupam told PTI.

A presiding officer in Madhupur in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district was replaced after he was found too close to the voting compartment, which is against the rules of Election Commission. the Deoghar administration said.
The statement came after Jharkhand BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused presiding officer Ramanand Kumar Paswan for allegedly “favouring a ruling party candidate”.

Several octogenarians and two centenarians, a 113-year-old woman and a 103-year-old man, voted in the Maharashtra assembly election.
The 103-year-old man, a freedom fighter, came in a wheelchair, to exercise his right.
To ensure a smooth voting process, facilities such as wheelchairs, wheelchair-friendly vans, Divyang-friendly buses, stair-climbing wheelchairs etc were made available at polling booths by the Election Commission.
A touch of glamour was added to the election day in Mumbai today as several Bollywood celebrities, including actors Salman Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Akhay Kumar, Ananya Panday and Ranbir Kapoor, cast their vote.
“Everyone should come and vote because that’s the most important thing,” said Rajkumar Rao.
“Let’s forget the issues and right now it is voting day and it’s your birth right, so please come and cast your vote,” was Ranbir Kapoor’s message.

Congress leader and leader of opposition in Rajasthan Tika Ram Jully has expressed confidence that his party will win in both the states and the “INDIA alliance will form the government”.
Actor Govinda said, “Everything is fine”, when he was asked about his recovery. The Bollywood actor had accidently shot himself in the leg last month.
He was seen outside a polling booth in where he had come to cast his vote.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot has slammed the BJP over reports that its party general secretary Vinod Tawde was allegedly distributing voters to influence voters in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. “When such incidents come to light, the Election Commission of India (ECI) should take immediate and strict action. A leader of such stature being accused of carrying such a large amount of money for election manipulation is alarming. An inquiry alone is insufficient,” he said.
