NEW DELHI: On December 11, 2024, an unidentified individual was discovered with injuries near Puja Modal School in Ghonda, Maujpur. The authorities are still working to confirm the victim’s identity.
Police officials reported receiving a PCR call at 2:30 AM on Wednesday. The victim was transported to hospital via PCR van but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Subsequently, authorities registered a case under section 103(1) BNS and initiated their enquiry.
A specialised team, headed by Inspector Surender Kumar, SHO/PS Jafarabad, was formed under ACP-Bhajanpura’s supervision. The investigation involved reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras and implementing technical surveillance measures.
The team utilised local intelligence networks and identified two suspects. Following several raids, they successfully apprehended two Children in Conflict with Law (CCLs) connected to the incident.
During questioning, the juveniles confessed to their involvement. Officers recovered evidence including Rs. 200 in cash, a knife, and a stolen two-wheeler used during the crime. Efforts to establish the victim’s identity are ongoing, according to police sources.
