The Delhi High Court has directed the State Government of NCT of Delhi to ensure the safety and security of Amandeep Singh Batra and to do everything within their means to ensure that the fundamental rights, including the right to life and liberty, are adequately protected till the threat perception is analyzed.

Amandeep Singh Batra and the music video producer filed a writ petition seeking directions to the state to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and provide appropriate security to the petitioner from Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar who are allegedly threatening him at the behest of Prateek Chaudhary – a businessman from Delhi.

The matter relates to serious threats including threats to life.

The matter was heard before Justice Jasmeet Singh. “The same is a serious issue,” he said.

The ⁠High Court has directed Delhi police to take appropriate action within 10 days.

Amandeep Singh Batra was represented by Abhimanyu Bhandari, Senior Advocate; ⁠Arjun Syal; ⁠Mehaak Jaggi; Namisha Gupta; ⁠Nattasha Garg; and Tanaya Aggarwal.
