The Criminal Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of
Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for brevity ‘the Cr.P.C.,’)/Section 528 of the
Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity ‘the BNSS’) seeking to
quash proceedings against Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 5 in FIR.No.40 of
2026 on the file of the PM Palem Police Station, Visakhapatnam
Commissionerate, Visakhapatnam District, registered for the alleged offence
punishable under Sections 85, 318(4) and 316(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya
Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity, ‘the BNS’) and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act,
1961 (for brevity, ‘the D.P.Act’).
