ABOUT CENTRE FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS, VSLLS, VIPS-TC
The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), a part of Vivekananda School of Law & Legal Studies (VSLLS), VIPS-TC, was established with the aim of enhancing the knowledge base in Intellectual Property Rights and raising public awareness about the IPR regime. Its objective is to support academic and policy-oriented dialogue across both individual and intersecting domains of innovation and intellectual property. The purpose of the CIPR is to ensure that students, academicians, and the general public remain continuously informed about the dynamics of IPR and developments in this rapidly evolving field. To fulfil this, CIPR organises activities including workshops, seminars, conferences, quizzes, research paper writing competitions at national and international level and field visits and many such other activities at different occasions including celebration of World IP Day. The activities undertaken by CIPR, VSLLS, VIPS-TC aims at providing clinical and experiential learning to its law students thereby bridging the gap between theory and practice and encouraging creativity and critical dialogues on emerging IPR issues.

Through its relationships with leaders in industry and government around the world, the Franklin pierce Center for Intellectual Property is a global hub with rich and varied resources—including the only academic IP library in the United States and one of the most extensive selections of intellectual property courses in the country. The Center is at the forefront of thought leadership on hot-button issues, ranging from data usage and sovereignty to privacy and antitrust to SEPs and injunctive relief. The Center hosts the annual Intellectual Property Summer Institute where students, lawyers, and practitioners learn about trending topics in IP to stay in the know and ahead of the curve. ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies (VSLLS), VIPS-TC, through its Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, is organizing a Collaborative Conference on “Global Convergence on Intellectual Property 2026” in collaboration with University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, Concord, USA on 24th and 25th April 2026, on the occasion of World IP Day 2026.
The Collaborative Conference on “Global Convergence on Intellectual Property 2026” (CGCIP 2026) invites original research papers from participants across countries that examine contemporary and emerging issues in intellectual property law within a global and comparative framework. The conference encourages interdisciplinary perspectives that explore the dynamic interaction between law, technology, innovation, trade, and public policy. The conference addresses the complex implications of intellectual property in fields such as medicine, biotechnology, entertainment and media, information technology, artificial intelligence, business strategy, competition law, sustainable innovation and many other inter-sectional fields of study with broader themes as follow:

ELIGIBILITY:
The Conference is open to UG and PG students, research scholars, foreign delegates, legal professionals, technologists, academicians and policymakers from all disciplines.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
- The paper should be based on original research work that has not been published yet.
- All submissions must be in English language only.
- A submission may have up to two co-authors.
- Each author is required to register and pay the registration fee individually.
- Registration is mandatory to participate in the conference.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
FORMAT OF SUBMISSION
Abstract
- The author(s) must submit an abstract of 250-300 words with five keywords.
- The abstract should clearly outline the research problem, methodology, and key arguments/conclusions.
- It should also include the title of the abstract, name of the author/coauthor, affiliating institution, and contact details i.e email id and phone number.

Full Paper
- The word limit of the paper shall be between 3000-4000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
- The font style of the paper should be Times New Roman with font size being 12 for the main text and 10 for the footnotes.
- The line spacing for the main text and footnotes should be 1.5 and 1 respectively (Endnotes are not permitted).
- Bluebook Citation 20 edition citation/Format shall be followed for the same.
- The paper must be submitted in MS Word format (DOC or DOCX).
- A maximum of 10% plagiarism is permitted including AI detector. Any paraphrasing or verbatim content without proper citation will be considered plagiarism.

AWARDS / INCENTIVES
Certificates will be awarded to the registered participants who attend all the sessions of the Conference.
PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES
The conference proceedings will be published with an ISBN and selected papers may also be published in an “Edited Volume”.
Note: Publication charges for the publication in the “edited volume” are not included and shall be paid separately.
