About Ramjas Political Review

Ramjas Political Review, (ramjaspoliticalreview.com), ISSN (O): 3048-5886, is a distinguished student-run, biannual, peer-reviewed academic research journal run by the Department of Political Science, Ramjas College. Since its establishment in 2023, the journal has been involved in publishing original research papers from scholars across the globe in the field of political science and allied disciplines.

Standing as a paragon of academic excellence, it boasts itself as the first and only undergraduate-run political science research journal at the University of Delhi with an ISSN recognition.

About Call for Essays

The Ramjas Political Review is inviting original, unpublished essays in the form of Featured Essays and Academic Essays  for publication for its upcoming Volume 3, Number 2, July-December’25 issue.

Eligibility

Submissions are open to students: undergraduate and postgraduate, PhD scholars, research fellows, professors, think tankers, or any professionals.

Theme

The journal accepts submissions in the domain of political science and allied disciplines. Essays with the intersection of politics with economy, history, constitution studies, sociology, policy, and law are welcome as long as they contain relevant political analysis.

Submission Categories

1. Featured Essays (1500-3000 words): These papers are succinct in extent and exposition. They are required to engage with a precise, contemporary, and relevant topic; and contend with astute academic nuances.

2. Academic Essays (3000-4500 words): Papers in this category are required to systematically draw attention to a niche pertaining to political science. Journal submissions are encouraged to address research gaps, where the authors can present their respective findings. Long-form op-eds, plain analyses, and narratives will be strictly rejected.

Formatting Guidelines

1. Please send us your articles in a .docx format only to [email protected]
2. Please attach your name, institution, position, contact number, and essay type.
3. Adherence to the RPR Style Guide is mandatory.
4. Upon being forwarded to the Editorial Board for the peer-review process, you affirm that the comments and the document will not be shared elsewhere.
5. In case the essay is not confirmed within two days, we request you to assume it rejected.

Submission Guidelines

1. The subject should specify that it is a journal submission.
2. Essays must follow the APA 7th format for referencing.
3. Post-acknowledgement of the submission, it will take thirty working days for the Editorial Board to review the paper.
4. Footnotes are not allowed.
5. A hundred-word abstract must precede the essay.
6. Abstract and References do not form a part of the word count.
7. Please note that only the expanded version of the in-text citations are included in the endnotes. Bibliography and other sources that are not quoted in the text must not come under the references.
8. Co-authorship of up to two authors from any institution is allowed.
9. No fee is applicable.
