Martyrs’ Day ceremony will take place at the historic Ridge near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. This was stated by Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap here today at a meeting held to discuss the preparations for the event. During the meeting, the DC said 11 am, two-minute silence will be observed in memory of the martyrs. During the event, artists from the Information and Public Relations Department will present Ram Dhun and devotional songs. He said that Martyrs’ Day is a solemn occasion and steps should be taken to maintain its dignity. He directed the department officials to complete all preparations in a timely manner, ensuring the involvement of various departments for the successful organisation of the event.

Una: The Revenue Department in Una district has advised farmers and land owners of the district to get the khasra numbers of their land linked with the Aadhaar numbers. Land owners can meet Patwaris in their respective areas for the same. The land owners need to carry the mobile phone whose number is linked with the Aadhaar card because during the process, an OTP will be received on the mobile phone, which has to be shared with the Patwari for completing the linkage process.
