In filmmaking, the adrenaline rush of doing an intense action sequence or a high-intensity car chase comes at its own cost. Many times, despite taking several measures and precautions, actors face tragic accidents. Something of a similar sort recently happened with Brad Pitt during the shoot of his upcoming ‘F1 film.’
As the actor was filming a dramatic car crash scene, he was seen stumbling and ultimately collapsing to the ground. A video of the same is doing rounds on the internet, and it shows Brad in his full racing costume, with gear and everything in place. The video also shows Brad struggling to hobble away from the crash site before falling onto a padded mat held by the crew.
Soon Brad Pitt’s team shared an update on the incident. Referring to Brad as Hayes (his character’s name in the movie), Pitt’s team mentioned “During qualifying, Sonny sustained a significant impact requiring immediate medical evaluation. Incidents of this magnitude are always taken seriously, and Sonny’s health remains our top priority.”
“While Sonny is otherwise stable, he will not participate in tomorrow’s race as he focuses on recovery. The entire team stands behind him, and we’ll provide updates when available. Joshua [Pearce] will race solo tomorrow, carrying the team forward,” added the team.
‘F1’
Set to hit theaters in June 2025, the movie will have real F1 drivers with Brad Pitt. The specially modified F2 car is one of the major highlights of the movie. Further, in addition to Brad Pitt, the movie boasts an ensemble cast that includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, and Idris Elba.
