This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has
been filed by the Petitioner herein/Accused, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.
105 of 2025 on the file of Markapur Prohibition and Excise Station, Markapur
District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 8 (b) r/w 20(a)(i)
of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (for short “NDPS Act”).
2. The case of the prosecution in brief, is that, on 28.11.2025, on receipt of
information about Ganja cultivation, the Inspector of Prohibition and Excise
Station, Markapur, along with his staff and mediators proceeded to the Chilli
field situated in Sy.no.558 of Jammidornala Village, and found one person in
the field and trying to escape and on enquiry, he admitted about cultivating
Ganja plants and 310 Ganja plants were detected and uprooted and two
plants were seized for chemical analysis and 308 plants were destroyed at the
spot and effected his arrest under the cover of mediator’s report.
