Mumbai: MPs and MLAs from MVA are in touch with BJP as they are uneasy in the alliance, claimed state party president Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Wednesday.
He said a common complaint among them was that they are not receiving support from their parties. “They said meetings regarding constituency issues are not being organised,” he told reporters.
On allegations by MVA politicians that BJP is organising ‘Operation Lotus‘ to split opposition parties, Bawankule said investigation agencies do their work independently and the party has nothing to do with them. “The use of ED and CBI is a constant complaint from MVA. However, if anyone wants to join our party under the leadership of Devendraji to support Modi’s vision for a developed India, they are welcome.”
On cabinet expansion, Bawankule said all three Mahayuti allies’ netas and the central BJP leadership will take a decision on it. “Our current priority is fulfilling the promises made to the public in our manifesto.”
On the EVM protest in Solapur’s Markadwadi village, he said MVA is running a fake narrative about EVMs to gain votes. “Aghadi leaders should introspect on where they fell short in the election. SC Supreme Court has already dismissed their objections regarding EVMs, stating that ‘when you win, EVMs are good, and when you lose, they are not’… Therefore, even if they go to court now, nothing will change,” he said. “The opposition should accept the truth that the public has rejected it and introspect on its defeat.”
