By way of filing present writ petition under Article 226 of the
Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for following
relief(s):-
“In light of the facts and circumstances stated above, it
is most respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble Court may
be pleased to:
(i) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate
writ, order, or direction, directing the District Collector,
Pratapgarh to objectively consider and decide the
objections submitted by the residents of Village
Sohanpur on April 17,2025 and December 29, 2025 by
passing a reasoned and speaking order, strictly in
accordance with the provisions of the Rajasthan
Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.
(ii) Issue a Writ of Prohibition or any other appropriate
order restraining the Respondents from giving effect to
the proposal of shifting Village Sohanpur from Gram
Panchayat Jhasdi to Gram Panchayat Akhepur, and from
issuing any final notification in this regard, until the
objections of the Petitioner and all residents are duly
decided in accordance with the law.

(iii) That the Rajasthan Gazette Notification of November
21, 2025 Passed and published by authority may kindly
be quashed and set aside.
(iv) Pass any other order or direction which this Hon’ble
Court deems fit and proper in the facts and
circumstances of the case in favor of the Petitioner
(v) Writ Petition be allowed with costs.”
After arguing the matter for some time, learned counsel for
the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if the
competent authority of the respondent Department is directed to
consider and decide the objections dated 29.12.2025 submitted by
the petitioner against the proposal of shifting Village Sohanpur
from Gram Panchayat Jhasdi to Gram Panchayat Akhepur in
accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
In view of the aforesaid limited prayer made at bar by
learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is
disposed of with a direction to the competent authority of the
respondent department to objectively consider and decide the
objections dated 29.12.2025 submitted by the petitioner against
proposed shifting of Village Sohanpur from Gram Panchayat Jhasdi
to Gram Panchayat Akhepur within a period of three weeks from
today.
It is made clear that the aforesaid direction to decide the
representation has been issued only with a view to ensure
expeditious redressal of the petitioner’s grievances and same may
not be construed to be an order to decide the representation in a
particular manner.
