02/30.03.2026 Heard Mr. Aditya Raman, learned counsel for the
petitioner and learned Spl. P.P. for the State.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with
Namkum P.S. Case No. 7/2026 (N).
It has been alleged that the four miscreants were
apprehended by the Police and Brown Sugar as well as Ganja were
recovered from the possession of the said accused. So far as the
petitioner is concerned, 1.88 grams of Brown Sugar was recovered.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that one of
the co-accused from whose possession 1.86 grams of Brown Sugar
was recovered has been granted bail in B.A. 1542 of 2026. It has
been submitted that the petitioner does not have any criminal
antecedent and he is in custody since 07.01.2026. Learned
counsel further adds that the recovered Brown Sugar from the
possession of the petitioner is a small quantity.
Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the
petitioner.
Regard being had to the small quantity of Brown Sugar
recovered and the fact that one of the co-accused has been
granted bail as noted above, the petitioner is directed to be
released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees
Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to
the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, (NDPS), Ranchi in
connection with Namkum P.S. Case No. 7/2026 (N).
