Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is the next big theatrical release, hitting cinema halls on December 5. Originally made in Telugu, the film has generated significant buzz in the Hindi market, with distributor Anil Thadani acquiring its North India rights for a whopping Rs 200 crore. The first installment of the franchise, Pushpa: The Rise, earned Rs 106 crore in Hindi back in 2021, setting the stage for its sequel’s massive appeal.

The film is expected to make a grand opening, aiming to hit the Rs 100 crore mark across all languages on its first day. As of now, it has already earned Rs 79 crore in advance bookings. In the Hindi market, Pushpa 2 has collected Rs 24.84 crore as per Sacnilk’s early estimates and could reach the ₹30 crore mark by the end of the day.
With these numbers, Pushpa 2 has secured the third-biggest opening for a South Indian film in Hindi, surpassing RRR (Rs 20.07 crore) and Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 22.5 crore). The two films that continue to lead in this category are SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’ Baahubali: The Conclusion, which earned Rs 41 crore on its first day, and Yash and Prashanth Neel’s KGF Chapter 2, which remains at the top with Rs 53.95 crore.
Pushpa 2: The Rule boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj. With its grand scale, the film is poised to be a massive success in both the Telugu and Hindi markets with trade expecting the film to cross Rs 300 crore mark across the globe and thereby, cementing Allu Arjun’s status as a pan-India superstar.
