The term ‘ Wildfire’ is henceforth going to be synonymous with Allu Arjun as his latest film Pushpa 2-The Rule is keeping the fire burning at the box office. The film has now become the fourth film to cross the Rs 700 crore mark at the box office, first three being Ram Charan and NTR Jr’s RRR ( Rs 782 crore) , Yash’s KGF 2- ( Rs 860 crore) and SS Rajamouli, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati’s Baahubali 2- The Conclusion ( Rs 1030 crore).

Having released on 5th December Pushpa 3 is having an 8 day week and in the first 7 days the film has minted Rs 688.35 crore in collections. In these 7 days the film has not only beaten Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 as the highest grossing film of the year but also beaten Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan as the highest week 1 collection in Hindi language.
On the 8th day with the help of morning and early afternoon shows the film added Rs 12.50 crore to its kitty and thereby taking its collection to Rs 700.85 crore collection. With no big release till Christmas- Varun Dhawan and Atlee’s Baby John hits the cinema halls on 25th December, the film is expected to have a dream run at the box office. The trade is very exciting to have another Rs 1000 crore hit after Baahubali 2.
Pushpa 2 has also gone on to become the 10th biggest Indian hit in North America on the 6th day of its release with a box office collection of US $ 10.8 million. The spot was earlier taken by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which had collected US $ 10.6 million in its theatrical run.
Pushpa 2 is expected to have a third installment which makers have named Pushpa 3- The Rampage. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu in leading roles and is directed by Sukumar.
