Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has created history by becoming the third biggest South film in the Hindi market, collecting a whopping Rs 331 crore in just five days. The film now stands behind Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 (₹435 crore), and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹501 crore), solidifying its place among the giants of Indian cinema.

The action-packed sequel opened to record-breaking numbers, earning ₹285 crore over the weekend, surpassing the opening week collections of Baahubali 2 (Rs 247 crore) and KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 268.63 crore). On its fifth day, Pushpa 2 added Rs 46 crore, propelling its total to Rs 331 crore.
Though inherently the film is in Telugu, with its region’s ethos, the film has found a mass connect with the Hindi speaking audience. This can be from the fact that while Hindi version has cracked Rs 300 crore mark, the Telugu version has contributed Rs 211.7 crore as per Sacnilk, a difference of more than Rs 100 crore.
With strong word-of-mouth and the holiday season still in play, Pushpa 2 is expected to challenge KGF: Chapter 2’s Rs 435 crore and even aim for Baahubali 2’s Rs 501 crore record in the Hindi market. If its current pace continues, Pushpa 2 might redefine box office benchmarks, reaffirming the dominance of South Indian cinema across India.
With a collection of over Rs 300 crore, Pushpa 2 has already become the second biggest of Hindi Cinema in 2024 behind only Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2. It has already beaten the likes of Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again ( Rs 247 crore) , Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 ( Rs 260 crore) and Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter ( Rs 212 crore).
