Akshay Kumar starrer highly anticipated film ‘Skyforce’ has wrapped up its shooting. Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, this aerial action-drama is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak tensions during the 1960s-70s. The film is scheduled for release on January 24, 2025, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend, a strategic choice that aligns with its patriotic themes.
Following the wrap, directors Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur took to Instagram stories to express their gratitude towards the cast and crew. Abhishek Anik Kapur said, “Can’t thank each one who worked on Skyforce enough. This film was surely a difficult one to achieve. But its the crew which made it all happen.”

‘Skyforce’ features a talented cast including Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Veer Pahariya, and Sharad Kelkar, the film promises an engaging narrative filled with high-octane action and emotional depth. The story draws inspiration from India’s first airstrike on Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965, making it a fitting tribute to the nation’s military history. The action sequences are choreographed by Craig Macrae, a renowned action director known for his work on films like ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’, as well as international hits such as ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’

The film has been shot in various locations across India, including Mumbai, Lucknow, Amritsar, and Delhi, as well as in the UK.
