Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for ‘Housefull 5’ in the city. The film has a star-studded ensemble which includes Akshay along with actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Nargis Fakhri among others. As per a recent report, Akshay has injured himself while performing a stunt.
A report in Hindustan Times quoted, “An ophthalmologist was called on the set immediately, who bandaged the eye and asked him to take some rest, while the shoot resumed with the other actors. However, even with the injury, Akshay is determined to join the shoot back soon because the film is in final stages of shoot, and he doesn’t want it to get delayed.”
So, it looks like fans shouldn’t worry as the actor will recover soon and resume the shoot. ‘Housefull 5’ had gone on floors earlier this year in Europe. The film’s shoot took place on a cruise for around 40 days and now currently the cast and crew are shooting in Mumbai.
Apart from Akshay, Abhishek, Riteish, who have already been a part of the franchise, the new additions to the ‘Housefull’ franchise include Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Johnny Level, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangda Singh and Soundary Sharma
The film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani of ‘Dostana’ fame and is scheduled to release on June 6, 2025.
