About the Internship
CleverTap is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Intern to support its in-house legal and contracting function in a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment. The role is suitable for candidates with an understanding of commercial contracts, attention to detail, and an interest in technology, SaaS agreements, and regulatory and compliance frameworks.
The Legal Intern will report to the Legal Head.
Eligibility
- Candidates must be currently pursuing a law degree.
- Applicants pursuing a 5-year law programme (LL.B./BA LL.B./BBA LL.B.) should be in their 4th or final year.
- Applicants pursuing a 3-year law programme should be in their 2nd or final year.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Candidates should be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking are required.
Responsibilities
- Support the review of legal documents, agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Review and analyse third-party vendor papers, customer agreements, and standard terms.
- Assist in reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs), Order Forms, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and related legal documents.
- Conduct legal research on contract terms, risk assessment, and compliance requirements.
- Provide redlines and recommend changes to contractual terms.
- Support the legal team in revising SaaS subscription terms, liability clauses, data privacy terms, and termination clauses.
- Maintain and update legal documentation, templates, and the contract repository.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to drafting and interpreting contracts is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience handling SaaS, technology, or IT service-related contracts.

Duration
The internship is for 6 months and may be extended up to 12 months at the discretion of the company.
