    1. These two appeals are arising out of the same

    SPONSORED

    judgment dated 04.01.2024, passed in S.C.No.84/2021 by

    the III Additional District and Sessions and Special Judge,

    Dharwad. Criminal Appeal No.100364/2025 is filed by

    accused No.1 and Criminal Appeal No.100120/2024 is filed

    by accused No.2. These two appeals are clubbed together

    and taken up for disposal at once.

    2. The case of the prosecution, in brief, are as

    under:

    a) Accused Nos.1 and 2 are husband and wife, and

    they are the neighbours of the complainant and the

    deceased herein. There was a dispute between the

    complainant and the accused regarding a dunghill, and the

    dispute was settled by the elders of the village. Even

    thereafter, the accused used to threaten the complainant

    and his family members with dire consequences.
