About the Institute
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, is a public National Law University established in 2005. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate legal education and is fully funded by the government of Uttar Pradesh.
About the Journal
The RMLNLU Law Review is an annual peer-reviewed journal published by the Journal Committee of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow. The Journal seeks to promote scholarly discussion on contemporary legal issues and is published alongside the RMLNLU Law Journal on CMET (Communications, Media, Entertainment, and Technology).
After sixteen successful volumes, the Journal has announced the Call for Papers for Volume XVII (2026–27). The Editorial Board works closely with an Advisory Board comprising professors, advocates, and legal professionals to ensure high standards of quality, relevance, and originality.
Categories
The journal accepts submissions under the following categories:
- Articles: 5,000–7,000 words
- Essays: 4,000–5,000 words
- Case Notes/Comments: 2,000–3,000 words
- Book Reviews: 2,000–3,000 words
Review Process
- The review process consists of three stages.
- Members of the Advisory Board are closely involved in the review process.
- Authors will be informed about the status of their manuscript at every stage.

- Endnotes and descriptive footnotes are not permitted.
General Guidelines
- Submissions may be on any contemporary legal issue.
- An abstract of 250–300 words and five keywords must be included in the manuscript.
- The title should be bold, underlined, in capitals, font size 16, and center-aligned.
- Headings should be bold, in capitals, font size 14, and left-aligned.
- The manuscript must not reveal the identity of the author(s).
- A maximum of two authors is permitted. Co-authorship is not allowed for book reviews and case notes/comments.
- Manuscripts must not exceed 15% plagiarism.
- AI-generated content must not exceed 15%.
How to Submit?
Manuscripts must be submitted via email in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. The document name should be the name(s) of the author(s). Only one submission per author or team of co-authors is permitted. In case of multiple submissions, only the first submission received will be considered. The subject line of the email must be:
- Article for Volume XVII
- Essay for Volume XVII
- Case Comment for Volume XVII
- Book Review for Volume XVII
