    About the Opportunity

    Wipro is hiring a Corporate Counsel to support its in-house legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating strategic partner engagements and advising business teams on legal and commercial matters. The role offers exposure to technology contracts, intellectual property, compliance, and cross-border transactions.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must:

    • Hold an LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
    • Have 7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with at least 3 years of in-house experience.
    • Possess excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    The selected candidate will:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software licence agreements, IT services contracts, cloud and hosting agreements, IT infrastructure contracts, IP licences, NDAs, staffing contracts, collaboration agreements, and banking documents.
    • Advise business teams on strategic partner engagements and commercial transactions.
    • Handle legal and compliance issues relating to software licensing, open-source software, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS.
    • Provide legal advice on data protection and cross-border transactions.
    • Support dispute resolution and litigation matters, where required.
    • Work closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders on legal risk management.
    • Conduct legal training sessions and develop contract templates and playbooks.

    Preferred Skills

    Preference will be given to candidates with:

    • Experience in technology and commercial contracts.
    • Knowledge of data privacy and cross-border compliance.
    • Exposure to contract disputes and litigation.
    • Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.
