And a contract in government infrastructure is not a formality — it is the difference between a payment received and a penalty enforced, between a dispute resolved and a liability that compounds. Penalty clauses tied to deadlines that cannot move.

Performance bank guarantees. Liquidated damages. Multi-state jurisdictional questions. Multi-crore liability on the line. Someone had to read every word, flag what mattered, and make sure the terms held. That work is what you would be doing here — and it is as real as it gets.

Eligibility

  • 4th/ 5th year student of a 5-year integrated law programme (B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B. or equivalent) OR 2nd/ 3rd year student of a 3-year law course OR a Law Graduate (3-year or 5-year LL.B.)
  • Sound knowledge of Contract Law, Civil Law, and the Indian Contract Act, 1872
  • Familiarity with the Companies Act, 2013
  • Strong legal drafting and written communication skills in English
  • Working knowledge of GST and income tax provisions is an advantage
  • Prior internship experience in litigation, a law firm, or a corporate legal team is preferred but not mandatory
  • Must be willing to work, eager to learn, and comfortable with document-intensive, detail-oriented work

Nature of Internship

This is an active, hands-on corporate legal internship. The intern will inter alia:

  • Review government tender documents and RFPs; identify legal risks, onerous clauses, and red flags before bid submission
  • Draft and vet commercial contracts — vendor agreements, NDAs, AMC contracts, supply agreements, and work orders
  • Prepare plain-language contract summaries for the operations team covering obligations, payment terms, penalties, and dispute resolution
  • Proofread and quality-check all legal and quasi-legal documents before they are issued or signed
  • Draft legal notices, replies to show-cause notices, and formal government correspondence under supervision
  • Track Performance Bank Guarantees (PBGs), Earnest Money Deposits (EMDs), and contractual compliance timelines
  • Support due diligence, assist in regulatory compliance, conduct legal research and resolve legal queries

Stipend

₹5,000 (fixed) per month; ₹2,000 – 5,000 (variable) depending on experience, qualification, and performance
