1. We have heard the learned counsel for the parties.
2. The present writ petition has been filed in purported public
interest, seeking, inter alia, the following reliefs:-
A. For issuance of an appropriate
Writ(s)/order(s)/direction(s) commanding upon the
respondents for investigating into the open sale of
forest land to the tune of 1000 acres, specifically in
the district of Hazaribagh where approximately 450
acres of land has allegedly been sold by the officers
of the Department of Forest, Government of
Jharkhand, and similarly in the district of Bokaro
where one Shambhu Prasad (Jharkhand Forest
Service), Assistant Conservator, Bokaro Forest
Division and In-charge Deputy Director, Jharkhand
State Forest Corporation Ltd., Ranchi, has allegedly
granted No Objection Certificates to land mafias and,
under the shadow of senior officers namely Sanjay
Kumar, the then Principal Chief Conservator of
Forests, A.K. Rastogi, Principal Chief Secretary-cum-
Officer, Forest Conservation Act, Shashi Nand Kuliar

and others, facilitated the alleged sale and purchase
of forest land;
