For Greenpeace India, 2024 was defined by collective action. Across cities and frontline communities, we fought the climate crisis at its intersections with inequality, public health, and livelihoods, proving that true climate solutions must be equitable, inclusive, and accessible to all.

Here is how we drove change this year:

SPONSORED
  • Humanizing the Crisis: Through our Museum of Memories exhibitions in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Delhi, we used personal objects and lived experiences to center human stories in climate conversations, exposing how disasters disproportionately impact those with the fewest resources.
  • Mobility as a Right: We are actively campaigning to establish robust, green public transit as a fundamental public good. Recognizing that every sustainable, well-planned nation is built on accessible transit, in 2024, we pushed for safe, inclusive mobility in Delhi, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. This ensures that women, transgender individuals, and marginalized communities can navigate their cities freely and equitably.
  • Bridging Science and Action: Our data-driven reports on extreme heat, air pollution, and public transit provided the evidence-based backbone needed to demand policies that prioritize both people and the planet.

This report is a testament to the power of community-led advocacy. Explore these stories of resilience, celebrate our shared achievements, and join us in building a fairer, greener future.
